“A music-box of vintage treasures, beautifully sung by a remarkable woman” – Sir Michael Parkinson

“Well here’s a bit of fun.” – Gay Byrne

Patricia Hammond is a UK-based mezzo-soprano with wide-ranging gifts. Her meltingly lyrical voice is as comfortable in her beloved nostalgic songs as it is singing the works of Bach and Handel.

Since Lockdown, Patricia, and multi-instrumentalist Matt Redman, have been performing extremely varied requests – NO genre refused – on YouTube, every Monday and Thursday. TAKE A LOOK!

Patricia’s beautifully reconstructed performances of Victorian, Edwardian, 1920s, 30s and 40s songs have charmed audiences around the world. Her recordings have been played on BBC 2, 3 and 4, and in November 2018 she was selected as the soloist for the German national commemoration of the end of the First World War. Her first book, “She Wrote the Songs“, about Victorian women songwriters, is in shops now, and you can see her bi-weekly request show on YouTube HERE
